Austin D'Amond.

Drums

A native of Southern California, Austin combines elements of classic thrash, punk and rock in his bombastic and infectious style. His hypnotic stage presence and style draws from his many influences including electronic music.  In classic Austin exuberance he is often photographed with his tongue out or enjoying a goofy-elastic face expression.

In 1990 young Austin got his first drum kit. His love of drums continued through High School where he lettered in Band. In 2001 the band won the Sweepstakes in Marching Band for Percussion, Edison High School, Huntington Beach , CA

Currently playing in California groove metal band DevilDriver since 2015. Austin D'Amond's past credits include touring and studio work with Chimaera and Bleed the Sky. Austin is current member of bands; Bleed the Sky, The Elite and Silverchord.

His current Yamaha Tour Custom drum set made by Fatal Clothing Co. features a one-of-a-kind custom drum wrap. The wrap was inspired by the Fatal lifestyle and his personal moniker “thug metal” which combines the genres of both hip-hop and metal to create a unique and kickass crossover. In 2018 Austin, started a clothing line, Shred Sober based on personal journey of sobriety. Wanting to encourage others to look at sobriety in a new way, not something to be endured but as a fun aggressively positive life choice.  Austin also enjoys connecting with fans and students through private lessons. He teaches at Let There Be Rock School in Fountain Valley, CA and in person while on the road.
